If you’re selling digital products and software, video is one of the most important things that you can be doing in 2019 and beyond because of the way the Internet shifting.
Today we’re going to talk about why video, doing videos like this are one of the most important things that you can do in 2019 and moving forward. All right, let’s dive in. Let’s do it.

So today we’re going to talk about why video is one of the most important tactics for any business. Doesn’t matter if you run a bakery. Doesn’t matter if you run an online physical product business. If you’re selling digital products and software, video is one of the most important things that you can be doing in 2019 and beyond because of the way the Internet shifting. The Internet is shifting towards well where people are expecting video from companies because they like to know what’s going on behind the scenes.
They like to feel a connection with the people on the other end and video’s going to be huge. So there’s really five big reasons that I am all in on video and if you’ve noticed in the last little bit I went several years without being consistent with video. Now you’re seeing me be a whole lot more consistent because it’s so, so important and there’s five big reasons to that. The number one reason is people naturally respond to three mediums. You’ve got to think back over the last hundred years or so over the last 50 to 75 years. In that period we have been trained as a society to learn certain ways and it’s through three key things and those three key things are radio, TV, and print. So radio, TV and print. You can say, okay, well some of those mediums are dying out like books and radio, TV now.
I don’t think any of those industries are actually dying out. They’re just changing. But you gotta think TV. What is the replacement going to be for TV right now you’re looking at it, whether it’s YouTube or Facebook video, something like that. So putting yourself in those positions to be the new TV for people, it’s easy for them to understand how to consume your content. TV that’s YouTube and that’s how you have to like put that together. I don’t know many kids below the age of 10 that watch a lot of TV. They’re watching YouTube plus if you’re looking at the stacks right now, you’re seeing a lot of adults are getting more entertainment from online sources now than they are from traditional cable TV networks, things like that. Okay, so with that we’ve got radio. Radio is being replaced, at least the talk side of radio is being replaced with podcasts, so you’ve got to be thinking about how can I get in on that and if you noticed what we do, a lot of our videos like this end up turning into podcast and so that’s a key thing that you can be there.
There are also print books, so people naturally respond to three mediums. The one that is the most effective at getting them to bond to you with quickly though is video. If you can put together videos, people will bond with you fast. If they bond with you fast, they will buy your products and services over your competitors because they’ll feel like they know you a lot better. All right, so the number two point on this is YouTube. Whether you know it or not is the second largest search engine on the planet just behind Google. So when someone’s looking to learn something, odds are they’re going to one of two places. They’re going to Google or they’re going to YouTube. And the beautiful part about it is that medium. The YouTube medium is owned by Google. So when you put out something where you’re teaching someone how to do something like we normally do on this channel, its ranks in YouTube if you pay attention to certain keywords and it can also rank very, very high in Google. So you can become the trusted source very quickly.
So doing videos like this, the idea is to get out there into places where people are already searching for the kind of content that we do and you can do absolutely the same thing. Okay, so here’s another interesting stat. People are 27 times more likely to click on a video than a standard ad. Now when we get into this, we’re talking more of brand Facebook. So if we’re looking at Facebook and you have ads that come across your screen, when you see a video, you are way more likely to pay attention to what’s going on with that video than you are just a static print thing. Now, I could cite a ton of sources on this, but just go look at your daily life.
Go look at when things are going down your newsfeed, either on your phone or on your computer screen, what catches your attention more? Video is absolutely huge in that medium. Okay, so number four, video allows … That I’ve said this all the way through, video allows you to bond extremely quickly. I can’t tell you how many great relationships I’ve had come out of even the few videos that we used to do in this, but I have customers right now that pay me a fortune for the things that we do that our relationship started because of one YouTube video and that’s it. They saw a video and they started looking for more from us. So that’s the interesting thing. Video allows you to bond with people in a way that you just can’t do with print or just straight audio. And that’s why video is also so important.
Now, the last point that I’ve got number five is this, videos are the easiest way. Bar Nine, to explain what you do and how it can help your target customer. So whether you’re doing how to stuff like what I do, you’re showing someone how to build something, you’re explaining what’s going on in the news. However you happen to be using the medium video is the easiest way for most people on the planet to get a full understanding of what it is you do and how it can help them or benefit them in their life.
Okay, so like I said, I don’t think that I have to explain anything else. Those are the five big, big reasons why I’m going all in on video in 2019 and beyond. And why I think that you have to start putting a lot of time into video right now because if you’ve got a business right now that you are out there and you’re trying to get more exposure using video, even if you’re not real good at it yet and you can get real good at it by the way, by being a part of our channel and what we teach because we teach video a lot.
Even if you’re not good at it yet. Just giving people that window into your world is going to bring them closer, which means they’re going to turn into customers a lot quicker.
