Now, there’s tons of things that come up along the way that is content that you want to shoot, and you want to give it to your folks that are interested in what you’re doing, really putting yourself out there, but before you get into doing all of that, there’s really five key videos that we really focus on when we help our clients to go in and rock this out.
Today, we’re going to talk about the five videos that you must create for your business if you want it to grow using social media just like where we’re at right now. All right, let’s dive in. Let’s do it.

All right, so today, we’re going to be talking about the five videos, yeah, the five videos that you need to have as the foundation of your business. Now, there’s tons of things that come up along the way that is content that you want to shoot, and you want to give it to your folks that are interested in what you’re doing, really putting yourself out there, but before you get into doing all of that, there’s really five key videos that we really focus on when we help our clients to go in and rock this out. Let’s talk about that. There’s five videos.
The first video that we always suggest that our clients do before they do any other video is what we call the hero’s journey video. Now, what this video is, is it’s telling your story. There’s a reason that you got into the business that you’re in right now. There’s a story behind it, and usually, it has to deal with your struggles, what you went through, and why you got into it. There’s a lot of value in that. People love buying products, but they love buying products from people that they know, like, and trust. The easiest way to get people to know, like and trust you is to tell your story. Before you do anything, we always tell people, tell them the journey that got you here and put it on video. This is something people are very interested in.
One of my favorite videos that we’ve ever done is a day in the life video that I did forever ago. That video basically showed how I got from start to finish, where I was at that point, and what a normal day looked like. People absolutely loved it. We brought a ton of people closer to us. Make sure you’re doing the hero’s video before you do anything else. Having that in your back pocket’s going to be huge because once people start getting into your other stuff, they’re going to want to dig deeper and know more about you.
Video number two: We want to do a video on a topic that you have to explain weekly in your business. I don’t care what business you happen to be in. There is always something that you have to do over and over and over again in terms of explaining something. You gotta look at your business and say, “In my business, every single week, what are the 5-10 stories that I have to tell over and over again, or what are the 5-10 set of instructions that I have to give over and over again?”
When I was chiropractor, there was always 5-10 conditions that were really easy to fix before you came to see me if you would just do these certain things, and so I found myself teaching a certain set of exercises over and over again or a certain set of things not to do at work over and over again. Those things became the foundation videos for my practice when I had it. That’s the key. What are the things either by email or in-person that people are asking you over and over, and instead of you having to explain to them over and over, wouldn’t it be cool if you could just point them to a video? That’s number two.
Number three: A behind-the-scenes of your day-to-day. I talked about this a little bit earlier. One of the key things is, is when you get started, when you really get going, people want to know, “Hey. Where did this person come from? What is their story? Is it something that I can get behind? Are they like me? Are they not like me?” Of course, in point number one, we talked about your hero’s journey, what got you there, but then people want to see behind the scenes. They want to see what’s going on in your office. They want to see what’s going on in your business. They want to know what it looks like. This is the problem. All of us think that our lives are super boring, and so we think, “Well, why would anybody want to hear that story? Why would anybody want to get behind the scenes of my life?” But the thing is, is people absolutely love it. That’s why reality TV is so popular, even to this day. That’s video number three.
Video number four: You want to put together a video that outlines a cause that you’re passionate about. Now, this may not seem like it’s something that should be one of your first five videos because who cares about the cause. What does that have to do with businesses? Well, here’s the thing. A lot of your early customers will come from people that see themselves in you, and when you talk about the causes that you’re passionate about and you go out of your way and not even talk business for a little while and you talk about, “Well, this is a cause that I’m passionate about and why I love it,” people will but into that.
One of the big things that I’m passionate about is education, so one of the causes that I support on a regular basis is the Boys & Girls Club. It’s funny how many customers come from that group of people just because we have similar interest, and when it comes time for them to support someone or to support someone’s business, they support my business over other businesses that are like mine because they know that we often make donations to the Boys & Girls Club, and it’s the same thing. Creating a video that gives people a idea of what you’re passionate about is huge, and it should be one of the first five that you do.
All right, number five: A tutorial that explains the guts of your core product. It doesn’t matter if you’re like me and you sell digital information online or software or if you’re a chiropractor in an office doing adjustments, if you’re a dentist. It doesn’t matter what you do. Putting together a video that explains the core of your main product, your flagship product is always a great video to put together because this is where they get to actually see your expertise in action showing your passion for something. That is always very, very key.
That’s it, the five videos. We’ve got our hero’s journey. We’ve got a video on a topic that you have to explain weekly over and over and over again. We’ve got a behind-the-scenes to your day-to-day. We’ve got a video about a topic that you’re passionate about, like a charity that you’re passionate about, and then finally, a tutorial that explains the guts of your product. All of those videos together, you put those down, those are going to be things that are extremely interesting to your potential customers, and they’re going to bring people closer, which means they’re going to end up buying a lot more from you.
